Samsung's Mobile Display AMOLED Wonderland - With Video

While so far Samsung had yet to impress us, we changed our minds when we stepped into Samsung's Mobile Display booth. It was an AMOLED wonderland with some very impressive concepts, like this Hybrid Desktop Notebooks featuring a 14” WXGA or 1366x768 AMOLED screen with a brightness of 300cd/m2 and a 1000000:1 contrast ratio as well as a 2.7mm thickness.

Or this set of Netbooks with a 7” WSVGA or 1024x600 AMOLED screen, a 16:9 ratio and a brightness of 300cd/m2 and a 1000000:1 contrast ratio.

And this tiny but impressive transparent display with a 176x200 resolution and also featuring a brightness of 300cd/m2 and a 1000000:1 contrast ratio, and this curved 3.5” WVGA screen (same contrast ratio same brightness), AND this new AMOLED 3D TV with a 240HZ panel and a 3.5mm thickness.

UL20A & UL80AG: Asus Launches New CULV Notebooks with Windows 7

Asus announced the availability in Japan of their new UL20A, and UL80AG notebooks.
The first is a CULV 12.1 inch notebook featuring an Intel Celeron SU2300 CPU (1.2GHz), an Intel GS45 Express Chipset, 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB), 320GB of HDD, as well as Wifi b/g/n, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, and a web camera. Expect something like 59,800 yen, or €440.

The UL80AG-WX010VS (high-end model) is a 14-inch notebook with a resolution of 1,366x768, an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.4GHz) CPU, an Intel GS45 Express, 2GB of RAM, 320GB of HDD, a DVD superMulti Drive, a battery life span of 11.4h. For the other specs, our notebook features the wifi b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, Webcamera, Multi-Card reader… 129,800 Yen, or €958.

LG Releases Their New Ultra Thin Windows 7 Powered T380

With a thickness of only 25mm and a total weight of 1.89kg, the X-Note T380 is the latest 13.3” with LED backlight ultra thin notebook from LG in Korea. The T380 is powered by a Core 2 Duo SU7300, has 4GB of DDR2 RAM, an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphic chipset, 500GB of HDD, Wifi AGN and sold with Windows 7 Home Premium…

In addition to the X-Note T380, LG Korea announced the upgrade to Windows 7 as well for its X-Note P510 (released in Korea in of February 2009).
